Privacy

Tape Deck collects nothing about you. This page says what it does keep, and where.

What is collected

Nothing. Tape Deck has no account, no sign-in of its own, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking. No information about you or how you use the app is sent to the developer or to anyone else.

What stays on your devices

Servers you choose

Tape Deck connects to nothing until you give it an address. If you enter a music server or an Audiobookshelf server, the app talks to that server alone, to list and play what's on it and, for books and podcasts, to keep your place there. Those servers are yours, or run by someone you choose, and their own policies apply. The address, the Audiobookshelf key and the server's sign-in are kept on the device; a server's password is passed to it once and not kept.

Permissions

The app asks for none: not your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Children

As nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children.
